About The Wheatsheaf Inn
The Wheatsheaf Inn was taken over by Lisa & Bernard Flynn in December 08. Their aim has been to maintain the wonderful charm of the Inn but also to focus on the fantastic local produce served in the restaurant.
We have an abundance of possibly some of the finest food in the world on our doorstep. It doesn't have to be transported thousands of miles to get to our table. Our Lamb is Welsh and we only use Welsh Beef Steak which is hung for added flavour. The finest Restaurants in London, New York , Paris etc...would love to be so close.
A Little History
The Wheatsheaf Inn was originally built in the 13th century as an Ale House & licensed as a Coaching Inn in the 17th century, serving the Mail Route between Conwy and Chester until 1870. The Inn is situated in the picturesque village of Betws yn Rhos, opposite the famous twin towered church of St. Michael. Betws-Yn-Rhos was voted "Best village in Wales 2003" & has a bowling green, tennis courts & pay and play golf course.
The village is a short drive into the country behind Abergele & Colwyn Bay on the B5381 St.Asaph to Conwy Road.
Combine the splendid brass strewn oak beams & stone pillars, with the cosy, friendly, olde worlde charm of the Lounge, Bar, & The Hayloft weekend Restaurant with its intimate atmosphere, The Wheatsheaf Inn is the ideal place to spend your lunchtime or evening.
